Meet Gretchen: A Beloved Community Member Facing a Life-Changing Challenge

Gretchen has been a pillar in our community, known for her kindness, strength, and resilience. She taught special needs and blind students for 24 years with Dallas ISD. Due to a hoarding situation, her home has become unsafe and requires urgent help. This project is about restoring her dignity and safety, giving her back the love and care she gave to our community, and we need YOU to join us.

Why This Project Requires Care and Safety
This is a biohazard situation involving clutter, sanitation risks, and structural damage.
For safety:
- No children allowed on-site. Teens are welcome at parental discression.
- Volunteers will be provided with hazmat suits, gloves and masks (donations needed).
- Food and water will be provided for all volunteers. ( Donations needed)
- Specialized cleaning and repairs are essential.

Ways YOU can
Make a Difference
We need volunteers and donations in these areas:
- Moving & cleanup crew
- Donations to Go Fund Me to hire a professional hoarding clean out crew
for the first weekend.
-Donations to Go Fund Me to rent port a potties and dumpsters for this project.
-Donations to Go Fund Me for professional Biohazard cleaning.
- Skilled trades: plumber, electrician, roof and ceiling repair, subfloor
replacement or epoxy sealing
- Sanitizing crew to eliminate biohazards and odors
- Companions and volunteers for ongoing support
- RV cleanup and redistribution to people struggling with housing
- Donations of hazmat suits, masks, gloves, trash bags, food, water, furniture

-Storage Unit Clear Out
- Yard Clean Out and yard mantance
- Gardening suppies
-Furniture (Couch, bed, TV, Coffee Table, etc)
- Security repairs for sense of safety at home.
- Sit Down Walker for easier transportation
-Gretchen has asked for two ceiling fans.
-Automatic Kitty Litter Box
Typical shift: 3–4 hours
What to Expect
Wear closed-toe shoes and clothes you don’t mind getting dirty
We’ll provide masks, gloves, and cleaning supplies.
